2000-2010  Celebrating our 10th Anniversary

Back in the late 90’s, Rich Pèpe along with long-time friend Marchese Piero Antinori had conceived an idea to create the world’s first vineyard-themed restaurant. In January of 2000, in partnership with The Pebble Beach Resorts they took Italian cuisine in America to another level as they successfully opened Pèppoli at Pebble Beach.  The restaurant is located inside the 270-room Inn at Spanish Bay Resort in Pebble Beach, California.

Pèppoli at Pebble Beach is an original expression of Tuscany, a restaurant that thrills not just the palate, but the thirst of today’s sophisticated patrons longing for an adventure in dining.  Restaurants, of course, are a collaboration by nature; a dialogue between ingredients and imagination, artistry and technique, ambiance and hospitality.

Pèppoli at Pebble Beach captures the look and feel of dining in a Tuscan villa, albeit one overlooking the famous golf links and the Pacific Ocean. Rich earth tones, tapestry-style awnings and Tuscan ceramics grace the restaurant.  One entire wall serves to showcase the wines, while another feature is a terracotta grill and rotisserie.

The menu focuses on the centuries-old traditions of culture & cuisine of the Antinori family, Florence and the Tuscan countryside and pairs perfectly with the wines from the estates of Antinori and other great Italian wine producers.

The wine list is world-class, and features the finest collection of Antinori wines available outside of Italy, including multiple vintages of Tignanello, Solaia and Guado al Tasso.

Arturo Moscoso, chef de cuisine at Pèppoli at Pebble Beach, along with the Antinori chefs from Cantinetta Antinori, Fonte di Medici, the Osteria di Passignano and Castello della Sala will be in constant collaboration to create new ideas, yet always respecting the long-standing Tuscan traditions.

Seasonal food and wine “festas” are planned throughout the year with personal appearances by Marchese Piero Antinori, his three daughters, winemakers and chefs.
