Erupzione logo

Grown on Napa Valley’s Atlas Peak where the forces shaped the terrain.  It is the highest point in the region rising 2,663 feet above the valley floor, with the vineyard elevation at 1500 feet. This exotic blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Malbec explodes out of the glass and the rich flavors and aromas of black cherry and spice erupt in the mouth.

Villa dei Misteri

During the eruptions of Vesuvio in 79 A.D. the city of Pompeii was buried along with people and their grape vines that were being cultivated.  Now almost 2000 years later, Mastroberardino has been chosen by the Italian government to reintroduce grape growing and winemaking and breathe new life into the ancient city.  Using the exact techniques and grape varietals from the period, Villa dei Misteri was born, recreating truly the most historical vineyard in the world.  Only about 2 acres are planted yielding less than 2000 bottles per year.
