Ventana,-Le-Mistral,-Talbot,-&-McIntyre


Ventana Vineyards is located in the heart of Arroyo Seco, and is produced from estate grapes grown on its 300+ acre vineyard. Le Mistral, also now owned by Ventana is a Rhone-style blend of Syrah, Grenache and Alicante (92 pts WS). McIntyre is a premium producer of chardonnay and pinot noir. Their wines are highly rated and of exceptional value. For the past quarter-century, the Talbot family has been dedicated to producing superior Burgundian-style chardonnay and pinot noir.

Alan Silvestri  is one of the most most sought after film composers whose credits include Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Castaway & Polar Express. Silvestri’s Italian heritage is reflected in his winemaking style, and his wines are much sought after & produced in limited quantities.

Ben Pon’s Bernardus Estate is considered the gem of Carmel Valley. A “connoisseur” on all levels, Ben’s dream was to establish and showcase Carmel Valley’s ability to create world-class wines. The Marinus is his Bordeaux blend which can rival any wine red wine from France.

Angelo Gaja is Internationally acknowledged as one of Italy’s and the world’s greatest winemakers and  has been responsible for bold innovations in the vineyards and the cellars. Among his innovations in Piedmontese winemaking are the use of barriques (225-liter French oak barrels) for aging wines and his plantings of the region’s first Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard of the 20th century as well as its first Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc vineyards.

Wines from Puglia in Southern Italy

Puglia, known as “the heel of the boot”, is one of Italy’s oldest wine growing regions, with many traditional grapes brought there over two thousand years ago by the Greeks. The Tormaresca estate is composed of two properties: Bocca di Lupo near Bari, is a 247 acre estate located 40 miles from the Adriatic Sea in the Castel del Monte region. The other is named Masseria Maime, a 1,235 acre near Brindisi, just a few miles from the sea in the Salento DOC region. Tormaresca is the fruit of the my friend Piero Antinori’s investment in the Puglian region dating back to 1998.

The-Super-Tuscans


The wines that started a Renaissance of Italian winemaking Around 1900, the Antinori family was the first to plant cabernet and merlot in Tuscany and blended them with the local Sangiovese.  After decades of experimentation, Tignanello was introduced in 1971 as Italy’s first “Super Tuscan” wine, soon followed by Solaia and Gaudo al Tasso.  Super Tuscans receive14 to 18 months barrel aging, giving power and grace to the wonderful fruit character.

ANTICA is short for Antinori California and expresses the Antinori family’s passion for excellance in winemaking passed along for twenty-six generations. The winery is located on Atlas Peak on the eastern slope above Napa at 1500 ft. elevation. COL SOLARE is Antinori’s Meritage-style from the Columbia Valley in Washinton State.  It is a spicy blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah.

Arger-Martucci Vineyards is a boutique family winery in the Napa Valley that focuses on premium, handcrafted wines.  The winery produces less than 5,000 cases per year from estate vineyards in the Atlas Peak and Carneros appellations.
